More snow falls on Vancouver, but it won't stay long
More snow has fallen on Vancouver this morning, but this time it won't stay long.
It won't disrupt traffic and travel like it did back in December.
Meteorologist David Jones said five centimetres of snow was expected to fall after midnight, rising to 10 cm over higher terrain, including the North Shore mountains.
"It looks like this system will blow through pretty quickly," Jones said Monday.
"The worst of it will be over by late morning [today] and whatever falls later in the week will be wet flurries or rain showers.
"This is not going to be a return to crappy weather."
Mild temperatures will mean that any precipitation through the rest of the work week and next weekend will fall as rain, he said.
The snow is good news for the local ski resorts, who haven't had a fresh dump of snow in weeks.
