Yes, we were able to get in.
The damage in Taipei wasn't too bad. The most serious damage occurred in the central part of Taiwan. A hot-spring sight-seeing area was totally destroyed. At least 4 bridges (as far as I know) were broken, causing a couple of cars dropped into the river. A tunnel crashed when several cars and motorcycles were still inside (7 dead, 9 wounded). Several houses were covered by mud flood (much more serious than the one I saw). More than 10 thousand families are still out of water and electricity now.
