TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. - A hungry, neglected dog needs a home after being discovered in a plastics recycling bin in Traverse City.
The dog was found Wednesday night in the container at United Waste.
WPBN-WTOM-TV reports he was taken to a local veterinary hospital for treatment and will be signed over on Monday to the Pet Safe Alliance.
Doctors say the dog is 5 to 6 years old but apparently never has received proper care. He's underweight, has bad teeth, hasn't been neutered and has frostbitten ears.Even so, they say he has a good disposition and is calm. After about six weeks of treatment, they say he should make a good pet.
This is a sad story. Animals require better treatment.
