Neighbors Littering

Littering has never been a large problem in my neighborhood for the last 10 years of me living there. But as of recently, the amount of litter seems to be increasing very fast. There have been mattresses and empty barrels thrown about in my backyard, and those of my other long time neighbors. Newspapers, milk jugs, and other smaller waste are popping up more often in front of our yards. I suspect that the litter is coming from the new families moving into the neighborhood though I have yet to catch them red handily. Maybe I should install security cameras behind my shed.
I don’t usually don’t take notice of these things, but the amount of litter has infuriated me. The large litter especially the mattresses and barrels are casting a dark shadow on my neighborhood. My neighborhood’s bad reputation resulting from this litter will scare away potential new families to the area. Also the increase in the smaller litter is unsanitary, and children playing around in the neighborhood can easily get sick from playing with the garbage. Also the smaller litter is a potential choking hazard for smaller children. Did I mention it stinks as well?
The reason I moved out the suburb was to get away from the dirt and grime of Vancouver. I’ve had it with my new neighbors. I hope they know that they can easily dispose of their extra litter at the landfill for a cheap price. I’ll probably be giving them a piece of what’s on my mind the next time I find my lawn cluttered with litter. I’ll call city hall, and get them fined if they ignore my warning.
