Neil Armstrong Interview 2012: Video of Complete Interview
Neil Armstrong Granted a Rare Interview With The Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia. Here is the Neil Armstrong 2012 interview Video
Neil Armstrong is not one for giving interviews, so when he does take time to sit down and answer questions, it's something of an event. After years of silence, Neil Armstrong granted an interview that was posted online on May 23, 2012. Who was the interview with? The Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia, of course. Armstrong spent nearly an hour chatting with CPA Australia.
Why the heck did Neil Armstrong choose to give an interview to a bunch of accountants when he could talk to just about any media outlet in the world? Well, Armstrong's dad was an actuary so he likely has a soft spot in his heart for bean-counters everywhere.
In the interview, Armstrong talks at length about his trip to the moon, including landing on a particularly treacherous part of the moon.
""Not a good place to land at all," said Armstrong. "I took it over manually and flew it like a helicopter out to the west direction, took it to a smoother area without so many rocks and found a level area and was able to get it down there before we ran out of fuel. There was something like 20 seconds of fuel left."
Here is a link to the complete Neil Armstrong 2012 Interview. The video may take a while to load. We're guessing the CPA Australia isn't used to handling this much traffic. We'll post full video if and when it becomes available.
