New Orleans has been spared,the Morganza Spillway has been opened

I'm in New Orleans (I have been for awhile, I've got to update my Profile!) and we are breathing a sigh of relief here today, while also feeling for the people in Louisiana who will be flooded by the opening of the Morganza Spillway, instead of us.

The Mississipi river won't reach it's crest for 10 days, and I'll be updating here, on Facebook and Twitter.
