Cory Booker vs The Blizzard: Newark Mayor Digs Constituents By Twitter Request

Cory Booker has been proving himself a hands-on mayor, responding to Twitter requests from local followers who found them trapped by the blizzard that hit the Eastern Seaboard. Cory Booker has spent the whole day either shoveling or tweeting, telling his constituents, "I need street names and patience".

Aside from throwing out his back and scoring points with Newark residents, Cory Booker is making Michael Bloomberg, his neighbor across the East River, look bad.

An example of Cory Booker's snow-rescue tweets:

I just doug out ur car. All the best RT @MsXmasBaby: Is there NE city volunteers 2 dig some1 out? I'm going 2 have medical procedure done

As Booker rolled up his sleaves and got his hands dirty, and broadcasted the play-by-play to his followers throughout, the twitterverse took note. "Hey @CoryBooker if you come plow my street in Brooklyn, I'll vote for you when you run for President. Bloomberg hasn't done jack," tweeted Sam Graham-Felsen, which was picked up by Politico's Ben Smith.
