Starting small , getting bigger and bigger , as long as 15 cm. I'm talking about the slug Arion lusitanicus , in Norway we call it Iberiaskogsnile. Origin Iberia. Not in the Norwegian fauna. Anyway...NOW WE HAVE IT......EVERYWHERE in the garden's, the fields, the forrest ! The first one was found some years ago...without invitation ??? He or she ?( they are hermafrodites) , like it so much, all the plants in Norway, so he/she sent for all his/hers relatives and friends. So MANY cousin's ??? And friend's ? They are all eating non stop, everything green. What can we do ? This summer I did see a hedge-hog in my little garden and I hope it's coming every night to eat som slugs. Must be the only who like slugs. I'm freezing on my back when I see them. YAK...Sunday 24 august was a lovely sunny day, I was in my garden, in the afternoon. There it was, a slug, a big one , on top of a green stone, eating one of my flowers ???? Oh...get the camera..must have a closeup, I really love taking photos and this was a special occasion. This time I saw it from another angle and I got some "nice" shots ! This photos I would like to share with YOU . Hope you like it and find it interresting. You can also look at my other photos on Flickr.. Have a nice day ( without slugs).........from Sidsel Oba in Norway.

Sidsel Oba, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Globalisation goes all sorts of roads even Slugs take serious advantage of it.

Sidsel Oba, I like this story. It's good stuff. We have lots of hideous black and grey striped slugs in London - swap your pretty little Norwegian ones...?

Hi all slugs friends...hoho..This will be A NEVER ENDING STORY...every slug lay 400 eggs during the summer ..and they DON'T go for a holiday in the sun. Mostly rain in Norway, but this summer was really good...nice and sunny. Hopefully the monsters getting dried up....

I think they're invading Sweden, too! A vicious (if slow-moving) horde of plant-killers.

Dear slug fighting friends in Norway
We have had them in Sweden for a while now and we also got the methods to fight them back. I have collected the best methods on my site (in Swedish). Feel free to stop by and get some inspiration.
