Normandy Nessie, Strange Sea Creature or a Manatee? Video
A strange sea serpent with the nickname Normandy Nessie has been sighted in a canal in Madeira Beach, Florida and resident Russ Sittloh claims to have caught it on camera.

Mr. Sittloh describes the creature as being 20 feet long and being like a 'mysterious serpent-like creature'. He named it Normandy Nessie after the street he lives on. He says he has caught the creature on camera six times now.
"The head will come up and then it will disappear and then the next thing you know, you'll see a couple rolls behind it," Sittloh said.
He first saw it in April, but he is not the only one with a Normandy Nessie sighting under his belt. Residents Bill and Maria Van Aken say they have also seen it:
"I didn't see the tail come out of the water like Russ did, but I could see the wake that it was leaving. It had to be at least 15-feet or longer," Bill Van Aken said.
However, the Florida Fish Wildlife Center says that Normany Nessie is probably a manatee.
Like I said, the rate of speed and the size looks indicative of a large adult manatee taking a break and going back down," Andy Garrett with FWC said.
Russ Sittloh refuses to believe it though as he says he has swam with Manatees and Normandy Nessie is different.

Manatees can grow up to about twelve feet, and about 1,800lbs, but Normandy Nessie is described as much bigger.
