Not just in Africa

Sometimes one thinks of a scene like this as something that only passes in Africa but this is taken in Nicaragua, the 2nd poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, second only to Haiti. Note that many of our families make less than a dollar a day. I believe education is the most fundamental tool to eradicate poverty.
