SLOVENIA today began shutting down its only nuclear power plant in Krsko following a leak in the cooling system that authorities said does not represent a danger for people nor the environment.
In Brussels, the European Commission issued an EU-wide radiation alert following the incident in the central European state that currently holds the European Union's rotating presidency.
"A loss of coolant has occurred in the primary cooling system of the Krsko nuclear power plant" in Slovenia's southwest, the commission said.

OK, guys, don't worry, it was a false alarm. Nothing dangerus happened. No leak or anything. Our Slovenian folks are just always following the protocols and reported it right away to the EU. But worse, I mean really bad, mistakes happened in Spain and France but they did't report a single thing. That's why I was shocked when I saw the massive media coverage around the world as if a new Cernobil has happened. Heh, I guess that's all :) bye
