Offshore North Sea 23rd April 1977

Block 9/13, Northern North Sea. A view of the Sinbad V semi-submersible drilling rig on Beryl North exploration well 9/13-13 taken from the window of a S61N helicopter en route to Sullum Voe, Shetland Islands, Scotland. We had been up all night running a VSP velocity survey.

The onward flight from The Shetlands to Aberdeen was by scheduled DC3 Dakota which was a real treat.
