Opinion: East Coast Dreaming For Global Warming
Opinion

Eastern Canada and the United States hit with crushing snow and freezing rain resulting in many communities and cities who lost power, recently 70,000 people freezing in total darkness in Montreal must be wondering "Where the Hell is this Global Warming"? There is so much hype and talk of Global Warming with weather rapidily changing day to day faster than a 50 year old Nun with menopause has people pissed. Little do many realise Global Warming Climate and Weather are two different places of thought, one the state, and one the end result of the state.
If everyone is to believe Global Warming, like Wonky Westher is a recent condition, then the many Ice Ages, including mini ones the earth has experienced should tell you Mother Nature
has a mind of her own despite Global Warming.
Nothing much you can do except prepare, prepare, prepare or do as I did move to the West Coast, nothing like the current events back east happening now for us transplanted easterners to truly appreciate the West Coasts rainy seasons.
A Toasty reminder of Comfort for all East Coasters is that "It is Spring Somewhere, just not there"!
As for me, I have a 2pm Tee Off time.
City close to breaking snow recordThe GazettePublished: 1 hour ago
With thousands of students returning to school tomorrow after the March break, city officials urged motorists to leave their cars at home for 48 hours and use public transit.
That will help the snow removal crews clear the 30 centimetres of snow that was dumped on Montreal since Friday night.
Although snow removal began in some boroughs today, it will take crews at least until Friday to remove the snow from the city's ninth major storm of the season, said Marcel Tremblay, the city executive committee member in charge of snow clearing. So far this winter, 347 centimetres of snow has fallen in Montreal. The city needs another 37 centimetres of snow to break the record of 383 centimetres of snowfall set in 1971.
