Authorities in Los Cabos have issued the orange alert, pending the submission of the first signs of Hurricane Rick, branded as the second strongest after Linda in 1997.

Tomorrow Monday the Civil Protection council will be installed in La Paz and Los Cabos, because there is a 70 percent chance that Hurricane Rick lash south of the peninsula of Baja California.

The head of Civil Protection in Los Cabos, Francisco Cota Marquez said the first rains in Baja California Sur are expected Monday night or the morning of Tuesday, for what has been recommended to the people to be alert to information being generated by local authorities.

The main concern of the government are 15 thousand families living in areas of stream in illegal settlements and extreme poverty in the municipality of Los Cabos.
