It is still unclear whether the office at Dunsmuir and Seymour currently has power.  Officially the area is still apparently blacked out but the coffee shops in the area are telling us they are back online.   We have sent someone down down to the office and see for ourselves and we should have a clear answer by about 7:30 PST.  We will keep you posted

Our HR Director just went down to the office and apparently the West side of Seymour Street has power but the East side (site of NowPublic HQ) is still in the dark.

I was told this morning that our building may have power by 11:00 tonight, so I've got another day off from work. Nothing's working at our office yet.

I heard that it would be around 11pm too - that's such a long time!

Any advancing of the fire's cause?   A post last night mentioned the possibility of malicious cyber attack; have authorities ruled in or out the possibility of foul play?

Still can only find this:

B.C. Hydro spokeswoman Susan Danard said there was a circuit failure and fire in a major underground cable on the 500 block of Richards Street just before 9 a.m. yesterday.

This article mentions that is may have been a failed splice that caused the fire in turn the power outage:
