The Annual  Philadelphia International Flower Show is now open until Mar 7,2010

This annual event is produced by the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society

This year's theme is called "Passport to the World" and features an eclectic blend of flowers from all over the globe, as well as entertainment, discussion forums related to gardening, and vendors.

With all the snow and cold weather,  this annual show is sort of a breath of fresh air, and signifies the coming of Spring which this year falls on April 20th

New this year, the show is offering E-ticketing for convenience. I would strongly consider this option , since the waiting lines tend to be long especially during the weekends. I went during a weekday thinking I was going to avoid major crowds .....and was wrong. Purchasing my ticket in advance was a smart decision.

Once inside the Convention Center , where the show is held, you will be memorized by the displays as well as the floral scents in some areas.  I've included a few images I took during my visit there .

Have a good pair of walking shoes since this is a huge exhibit area, and it will take you a few hours to see all the displays .  Great way to spend the afternoon
