Households that contribute electricity to the National Grid are to receive payments under a new government scheme.

Towns and villages will be encouraged to generate their own power with wind, water and solar energies, and then be paid for how much they produce.

What a good idea, full marks to the government as this is a big incentive and a way forward though just one small step at present that could become a giants leap within a decade.

This is great, it is like the programs in place in German and Japan.

Only they started this in the 70s.

We need this around the globe.

The same is true in most states in the US, not to mention that even though the mainstream press is not seemingly getting too excited about it, individual Contractors AND Vendors ARE starting to get on board. The Tech for Solar Photovoltiac collection is beginning to evolve more quickly. It is getting more efficient, flexible in application, and one company even has a system that is actually integrated into roofing tile material. What a concept...a new roof that also runs your household appliances-Zounds!

ok! anyone with comon sence will know that a town  in >>(america)<< or city that sells electricity will be a gold city ,because of the U.S high need for energy. the economy in those citis will sky rocket and in my opiion is not the right path even if it helps the enviorment. this will for sure (if it is played out) will put small towns and even citis in hard times.i think the goverment needs to stop supling the military so much money for a moment. (and just in case anyother country tries to invade us  have the nukes ready). and with that money make a invesment on this new ideas for enrgy production. if they do it we can have a better chance of it staying leveled out  in this bad economy because there is over 10 ideas out there that can be played out in difrent areas depending on the land lay out.

but the govement needs to play this out in a big scale
