PETA launches 'Olympic Shame 2010' website to stop seal slaughter

Animal organization PETA has launched their 'Olympic Shame 2010' website to help bring awareness to and an end to the Canadian seal slaughter that takes place every year.
All eyes are on Canada as it prepares to host the 2010 Winter Olympics. This extra attention will bring increased scrutiny and comes with the added responsibility of setting a positive example for the world. That's why we are calling on the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee to use its clout to help stop the Canadian seal slaughter.
There has been much international outrage at the killing of the seals, and PETA wants to use the Olympics to draw attention to what is happening.
The hunt exists to sustain a demand for fur, and sealers club the seals to kill them for their skin.
PETA states:
Whether it's clubbing baby seals, electrocuting minks on fur farms, or crushing foxes' chests in traps, the bloody fur trade is one of the most hideous industries on Earth.
PETA is also asking people to boycott maple syrup, a vital part of Canada's economy to let the government know that you want them to end the seal slaughter.
You can also send messages to the government, watch videos (some are graphic) and help spread the word.

These Vegan Thugs from PeTA need to BE stop! This is a total disgrace & a major insult to both the 2010 Winter Olympics Games that are being held in Vancouver & to the Proud Inuit people of northernmost Canada. The video created by the Vegan Nazis PeTA shows the three olympic mascots Sumi,Miga & Quatchi carrying "stone age" club & blood dripping out of thier mouths & hands as well showing the proud Inuit people as "blood thirsty savages". Already PeTA has angered the Inuit nation with this monstrosity of a video which is has more lies than a tabloid newspaper. Acrording to the CBC the leaders of the Inuit Nation sent PeTA a letter telling them to not to invole with the Inuit people with thier SO-CALLED"anti-fur" campiagn. I wish the governments of the world step in & ban this group of Ecoterrorist from hectoring innocent people & PeTA ARE THE BIGGEST GROUP OF ANIMAL MURDERING HYPOCRITES IN THE FREE WORLD!

iH8 .. You are full of shyte up to your eyeballs. Tell me, do you have factual proof that PETA is the biggest group of animal murderers? That quite an allegation Mister. Well, do you? The seal bludgeoners are barbaric. Why is it even called seal HUNT .. there is no hunting. Just ruthless murder of defenceless animals. The seal hunt needs to stop henceforth. Unlike you and your misguided nazi rhetoric I am not painting the entire Inuit community, just the seal-fur-whoring members of Your community. So don't try and sell me on what a warm and fuzzy bunch those killers are coz I ain't buyin' it. Got that? You are wrong. I am right. PETA cares coz people like you are stupid and oblivious to what matters in life. I suspect the countless animal and children rescue organizations who visit your doorstep might agree.
