Plutonium in the Soil: Breach of Reactor 3
TEPCO has confirmed to CNN that plutonium has been detected in the soil near the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. The plutonium could only have come from Reactor #3, so this suggests that Reactor 3 at Fukushima Daiichi has been compromised.
TEPCO also confirmed the discovery of plutonium near Fukushima Daiichi to Kyodo News.

Over the weekend, three TEPCO workers were hospitalized after being exposed to elevated radiation levels while working on Reactor 3.
