Most people had this one go right over their heads, but in the last few weeks we've seen a controlled experiment on the price of a barrel of oil, without being boosted 200% by speculators on future markets. The one-time $147 a barrel oil will soon be $50, as people who held futures on oil cashed them in for liquidity sakes.
