Prince Charles wants us to use public transport and walk more

Prince Charles needs to practise what he preaches. This is someone who has access to the Royal train whenever he wants and us 'plebs' either have no train service on a Sunday or a very limited one. At Christmas, the train station I use has nothing running. If taxpapers wasted less money on these unelected ''royals', then perhaps we'd have a far better train service and more people would use it.

Someone I have spoken to remarked that Prince Charles is probably used to having clean trains, ones that run on time and are not crowded, and he thinks all trains are like that, it's no wonder he wants people to use trains.

Action speaks louder than words. Perhaps he could have a word with Prince Andrew too.

The Prince, who has two Jaguars, two Audis, a Range Rover and still drives an Aston Martin given to him by the Queen on his 21st birthday, said developers had a duty to put public transport and the pedestrian at the heart of their housing schemes. Speaking about the “domination of the car over the pedestrian”, the future King said: “We must surely be able to organise ourselves... in ways in which we are not dependent on it to such a great extent for our daily needs."

Has Prince Charles got an Oyster Card then? I bet he has no idea 'what touching in and touching out means'.

(for international readers, this is a London tube network travel card).

It would be a Great Thing if they could make Estates People Friendly ,like Short Cuts ,Sheltered Bike Parking for loads of Bikes, very Limited Access for  Cars away from the Main Areas where People have  Access to Estates. Try to ban cars to the outside of Estates and Appartments.Charles would want to get Rid of all his Cars Except one, show an Example by Buying a Prius. Or better still start using a Bike.

I think the Royals should join the Ramblers Society for a start and get rid of their chauffeurs.

He probably does have a really warped sense of what public transit is. He should try riding the tube during rush hour and see if he can make it out without wanting to kill someone.

Maybe that's reason why Stratford has hanging baskets in the station, to encourage royals to use the train.
