The company, SC Johnson, which manufactures Windex and other well-known products such as Pledge and Glade, is committed "to doing what's right" for our families and our environment. For example, by reformulating Windex glass cleaner with Greenlist (a rating given to raw materials based on their biodegradability and effects on the environment and health) products removed 1.8 million pounds of VOCs and increased cleaning power 30%. In addition, the company has reduced its Green House Gas emissions by 42% by reducing their fossil fuel consumption and using wind turbines to power several of their manufacturing plants.
