Pushing Daisies S01E02 (ABC)

For some reason, I really disliked this episode.

The dialog is really forced and awkward. As much as I enjoyed the
pilot, I don’t really know what the future is of this series. The worst
part of this show was the musical number by Olive. It was really
annoying. I actually skipped it.

What was it about the dialog that I hated? Most of all, it was the
way the interactions between Ned and Chuck were scripted. I liked the
character development of Emerson, at least that was one good thing.
Olive is also annoying, but funny in a pathetic way. The total rip off
of Le Fabuleux Destin D’Amélie Poulain
doesn’t sit well with me either. It was alright for the pilot, but the
way the narrator describes with excessive details is too much like one
of my favorite movies.

Critics call this show smart. I disagree. The dialog is really superficial. I do like the snippets of Ned’s past.
