Residence at the SFU Surrey campus
SFU Surrey is one of three Simon Fraser University campuses established in 2002. The campus offers various programs and courses like business administration, arts and social sciences, mathematics, education etc. It is located at Central City in Surrey; the campus is close to the Sky Train station and transit bus loop. However, I have recognized that there is no residence and housing provided to students at the SFU surrey campus. For students living in Burnaby residence and having all their classes at SFU surrey have to travel for almost an hour to get to their class by sky train. Students can sleep more and travel less if there is a residence at Surrey Campus. The traveling time can be otherwise used to study or rest. Residence at SFU Surrey will help build community at Surrey campus and make it easier for students who live far away. It will also persuade students to take Surrey specific courses.
Living in Residence is perhaps the best way to get the most out of your University experience. In order to allow student to travel less and benefit from that travelling time we need a residence at the SFU surrey campus. Living a few minutes from class and the library gives more time to students to focus on their studies and therefore succeed in their University life.
