This was taken at 7pm (DST).
The smoke haze had started to lift, but we were still under a thick, dark blanket of smoke. It was dark except for the bit of light on the horizon. You can see the fire front on top of the hill. The front actually stretches out and beyond the sides of the photo. At one point it was up to 20km's long (again looking out towards Warragul, Drouin, etc)!
We had (and still do) fires practically circling us. Fires to the West, East, North, North West and South.

The fires over here are devastating.
We have fires all around us, roads are closed and there are so many confirmed dead already. It's dreadful...like hell on earth.

um hi I was just wondering if you guys have any info on the fires it would be much appreciated if you could post it as I am doing a school assignment and would like some never before heard news thanx alot and i hope it rains real hard very soon for everyone :]
