Rubys Bar & Grill the Latest at Coney Island?
The oldest bar & grill on the Coney Island boardwalk may soon be gone. Ruby's is still waiting to sign a lease for the 2009 season. The building is 87 years old and originally housed the Hebrew National Deli. Ruby Jacobs took over the building in the 60's and turned it into a 2 floor bar & grill. The original bar was downstairs. That was closed off to the public when the beach was built up to the boardwalk level in 1979. The bar is still family owned and operated. Our current lease expires on Dec. 30th. Will the Annual Polar Bear Dip be the last party at Rubys? We hope not. Come on out to Rubys Jan 1st from 10 am - 6 pm to celebrate New Years day.

Nobody is doing anything about any of it, either.
I'd like to have a picture of someone down there with a sign that says Bloomberg Is No Hero
I think this issue is just one of several reasons people should make an effort to keep Bloomberg from getting re-elected.
