This cactus is located in out backyard where we planted it about 12 years ago. It was harvested with approval and participation of the City of Phoenix when the Lake Pleasant reservoir was raised 30 feet. This is the first time it has flowered.

This cactus is located in our backyard where we planted it about 12 years ago. It was harvested, with approval and participation of the City of Phoenix, as part of a city effort to save cactus when the Lake Pleasant reservoir was raised 30 feet. This is the first time it has flowered.
