I took this photo, it is not photoshopped. But whiterabbit is right, I think the original fence was replaced, but the location and the distance was kept intact.

This fence is at Point Reyes National Seashore in northern California. It is part of an educational hike that tells stories and shows examples of the effects of the 1906 earthquake. The fence has been replaced and as you can see the upper portion is only two sections long, as is the lower section. It is just to illustrate the movement of the earth when the original fence was there. It's is a very interesting hike, which I have been on a few times, as I only live about a hour away.
