A 3.9 Earthquake Hit the San Francisco-BayArea on Thursday, October 20, 2011

An earthquake hit the San Francisco Area around 2:41 pm on Thursday, October 20, 2011.

The San Francisco earthquake registered approximately 3.9 in magnitude and struck at a depth of about six miles.

One report said the San Francisco quake measured 4.2 magnitude. The report goes on to say the epicenter of the quake was located on Cal's Clark Kerr campus.

The Bay Area quake hit about one mile ESE of Berkley, CA.

According to one Twitter user, the SF 2011 earthquake hit right after an earthquake drill at his office.

There have been no reports of damage or injuries caused by the San Francisco earthquake.
