What Are the School Closures in Michigan For Monday December 13 2010?

It may only be Sunday December 12, but parents, students and teaching staff are concerned about what the school closings will be on Monday December 13 as the winter storm continues to rage across the region. 

It is important to listen to the radio and watch TV in the morning, but there are a number of schools that have already designated themselves closed for Monday at least. 

WXYZ.com has already compiled a list of school closures for Monday and they are listed in alphabetical order. 

Click on Detroit is also another site that the schools can register with to let people know they are closed for the day. They are also listed in alphabetical order and you can search by the name of the school. 

The Michigan airport is open at this time, but excessive delays are reported, so check with your airline before heading to the airport. 

Flights to Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus and New York are among those that have been cancelled. 

A winter storm warning has also been issued that will last into the night.
