Sea to Sky Highway in BC to reopen tonight

BC Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon announced at a press conference about 30 mins ago that the Sea to Sky Highway in BC will reopen by 11pm tonight.

That is good news for stranded travellers.

The minister hinted that, with reconstruction work going faster than first thought, the reopening could even be sooner.

The Sea to Sky has been closed for most of the week after an enormous rock slide stranded thousands and closed down road and rail access between Whistler and Vancouver.
