SeaWorld San Diego has canceled its Shamu shows for the second day following Dawn Brancheau's death in Orlando. SeaWorld San Diego has not had an orca attack since 2006, when Kasatka dragged trainer Ken Peters underwater. The attack was similar to the one in which Tilikum killed Orlando Sea World trainer Dawn Brancheau, though Ken Peters survived.

"We're terribly saddened by the loss of the member of our SeaWorld family, it doesn't matter what park," SeaWorld San Diego spokesman David Koontz said Wednesday.

Is there not a small breathing apparatus that trainers could have with them at all times incase they are dragged into the water to prevent drowning?
