Severe thunderstorms and possibly a tornado could touch down across Alabama today, as well as coastal South Carolina, southeast Georgia and northern Flordia. This is due to a cold front hitting the warm air in these regions and these could ignite tornadoes in extreme conditions as well.
The most likely area for severe weather Saturday looks to be in southern and central Alabama into central Georgia this morning pushing south into southern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle this afternoon. The main threat with these storms will be large hail and for straight-line winds to be very strong, although an isolated tornado is possible forming along any bowing squall lines that form.
