The Six Flags amusement park is now under water as the flooding in Atlanta continues; Georgia flooding is also affecting towns further north. Seven people, including a toddler, have now been killed due to the flooding and mudslides as the rain continues to fall. The town of Hiram has lost power completely, which also affects fresh water supply.

Schools remain closed, and many roads are now impassable; Atlanta traffic is a mess, adn many people are opting to stay home rather than try to commute. Georgia DOT traffic updates (Georgia Navigator)

Also, a water-boil advisory is in place for Paulding County, as the water system has been compromised by flood waters.

More than 1,500 residents were quickly evacuated after rising waters breached a levee in Trion, Ga., and hundreds more are dealing with backyards that have disappeared under the water from overflowing rivers and dams.

And the water is cold -- many of the people who have been pulled from the floodwaters have hypothermia.

The death toll has risen to seven, as another flooding victim was found in Chattooga county: a teen who was swept downstream while trying to rescue someone trapped in a car.

he Chattahoochee River flooded I-285 in both directions between South Cobb Drive and Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, and late Tuesday morning, authorities shut down the ramps from I-75 and I-20 to that stretch of the Perimeter. Traffic on I-75 southbound quickly backed up to the North Marietta Loop, a distance of about five miles.
