Smoke over the valley

This is how the Okanagan Valley looked for most of the day. The smoke is coming from the Terrace Mountain Fire in West Kelowna.

An afternoon storm brought rain but also brought thunder, lightning and heavy winds. Officials say that 10 mm of rain fell but not enough to aid in the fight againts the fire.

Several spot fires were started up and down the Okanagan Valley from lightning.
