Snow eludes tourists in Mussoorie

  MUSSOORIE, 4 Jan: After the continuous spell of rains on Sunday, the tourists and residents alike huddled at night in anticipation of heavy snow in the morning, but the Weather God had different intentions.
Thourists and residents were denied, once again, the sight of falling snow this season. Many more tourists arrived this morning in expectation of snow, but apart from a few white peaks on the Himalayas, they did not find any here. Strangely enough, Mussoorie has not witnessed any snowfall this season.
Some environmentalists attribute this to the increase in pollution in Dehradun City, which has warmed the air around making snow formation increasingly difficult here.
The traders were also dejected when they saw the clear sky in the morning.
