Sock It To Me

What to do with those old socks?

We can't find any hard data, but we're certain that on average, one sock gets lost every 7.9 loads of laundry. And we're not sure where those socks end up, but we do know there are lots of things you can do with their newly single mates. Operation Happy Sock will turn them into toys for animals at the local shelter. Other organizations will redistribute them to folks in need. And, whether you use it at home as an instant ice pack or a whiteboard eraser, just know that you can save the world, one sock at a time.

They also make good dog toys! I stuff a tennis ball down into the toe and tie a knot above it so it doesn't slip out...
