Hi my name is Kim and I wanted to drop a line and commnet your article was thoughtful  and the pictures are spectacular.

I am an individual BLM mustang owner and strongly feel the overpopulations of the wild horses (native not native) what ever we want to call it...are due to mismanagement and lack of reproduction control at various HMA's. Although there are very good, dilligent people with BLM, their mandated processes are not yielding good animal husbandry results in relation to the rest of the eco system and the mismanagement has simply yielded unmanageable results. It is a disgrace that Euthenasia is even on the table to bandaid over the problem. I can only hope that either they get on board with adequate reproduction control in each and every herd or the program be turned over to another group that is sensitive to the animals' needs as well as other animals in those ecosystems.
