The State of Delaware is in a state of emergency due to winter weather. Delaware is facing the heaviest snowfall since 1976. Only emergency vehicles are allowed on the road until further notice as Delaware digs itself out from under its second major storm in the last five days.

Following a conference call earlier Thursday morning among agencies around the state, Roseanne Pack of the Delaware Emergency Management Agency tells WDEL News that it continues to be illegal to drive on Delaware roads.
Private sector businesses are strongly urged to consider the safety of their employees and the restriction of travel during the storm when deciding whether to remain operating.
