Storm Surge Over Rocks - Cape San Blas Road

We woke up at 8 AM to police sirens. Then the rental company called and said that they wer closing the road onto Cape San Blas, Florida. We packed up quickly and left the cape by 11 AM because of the storm surge from Hurricane Gustav which is at a Category 2 in Louisiana. We were in no danger. We just had to leave the cape because of the water coming over at The Rocks--the narrow part of Cape San Blas.
