I visited Jacobsbaai along the Cape West Coast yesterday, and this amazing structure caught my attention immediately. According to a local Cape Town daily, die Burger, it is a trailer that consists of 12 stacked barcas (hope the name is correct), that ran ashore about two weeks ago enroute to Holland. The structure was toed behind another boat when the cable apparently break lose in strong weather, causing the structure to drift ashore. Apparently the structure is very expensive and will be recovered at a later stage. Jacobsbaai is a beautiful little town along the South African west coast, and well worth a visit.
