Stuck in the middle?

As a 17 year old student travelling from a village into a big town, i rely on public transport to get to college and work, but nobody ever told me how unreliable the transport could be!

Living in the outskirts of Reading and Wokingham, in a village called Spencers Wood, is one of the hardest places to be. Having 2 separate bus companies have buses in our area and only 1 bus per company an hour means that if you have a travelcard for one company you have to pay for the other bus. In addition to that you have the unreliability of these buses. The amount of times i've stood at the bus stop waiting for a bus that hasn't come or watched a bus come and then completely ignore the fact that a living person is waiting there and drives straight past.

We get letters from Reading Buses saying that buses are going to be improved in our area. What do they do? They create a park and ride service... But it's a 20 minute walk from where i live. How can that be called an improvement?

Sometimes i wonder whether it's worth using all my saving to learn to drive and pay for parking every day. At least then i would be able to travel whenever i liked... So what's going to be done about it? By my bets... Nothing
