Yes, Koalas Can Swim

When legendary swimmer Ian Thorpe failed to make the 2012 Olympic team, there was something missing from the Australian aquatics firmament. This koala is willing to step up.

The video below shows some rarely-seen koala behavior: a koala swimming. The video was shot near Burleigh Point, Queensland.

(Note that koalas can jump from branch to branch when so inclined, but you must be very lucky to see them do so.)
