PICKENS: So I am having no problem working with the Democrats. Having a little problem working with the Republicans. They don’t like it because I want to do more than just drill. And they, somehow have gotten it, a lot of them have, that you can drill your way out of this. But you can’t do it. There’s not enough oil there to do it.

Great news out of Texas and great support for Pickens Plan and Al Gore's Challenge. Texas know from cows and oil is going to beat topleader in Windpower in the World, Germany very soon. May be Texas can be the first State in the World that can relie totaly on renewable energy and win Al Gore's Challenge of 100% renewables within 10 years.te Or can we expect more spectaculair investments in new energy sources.

May be it's a good idea to design windturbines which are painted with solar paint or decorated with Thin Film Solarlayers. Should be a very nice combination of wind and solar energy and can speed up totatl installed megawatts from renewables.

Wind energy is free, clean and non-polluting. The generation of wind power does not produce any by-products that could be harmful to the environment. There are no chemicals involved, no waste production, it's squeaky clean. There's plenty of wind in the Usa and specially in Texas. What a waste of taxpayer money. For every kilowatt of new wind energy capacity, you need to build fossil fuel or nuclear power capacity to provide electricity when the wind doesn't blow.

Windmills kill birds. Plus, all energy comes either directly or indirectly from the sun which is not renewable; therefore, wind energy is not renewable. Nuclear energy is much cheaper and more practical.
