Tales of Red Pandas - 187

I was able to talk to Jillian one of the red panda keepers on Wednesday. Shama's brother Wicket (behind) will be going to Jacksonville to be mated with a female red panda there...he'll have to wait awhile since she's only 2 months old! This move will happen before the winter...a new male will be brought in to mate with Miss Shama (front). Her suitor will have to be quarantined after arrival though so not sure when he'll be out on exhibit. They move will be made before winter since that's the time of year that red pandas mate...Shama might not be quite ready but they want to get the breeding program headed in the right direction.
