To heck with Texas justice let's applaud Texas ingenuity -
Withgas pushing $4 per gallon, many people are looking for ways to savesome green at the pump. One North Texas man found a way to help theenvironment and commute to work for just pennies a day.
I love this guy's DIY ethic. Tired of higher gas prices, he buys ajunk car and, using stuff he has at home converts it into a somethingof a green vehicle.
Theself-described computer geek from Kennedale bought the 1993 EagleTalon from a junkyard for just $750."First thing I did when I got the car home was pull theengine out," Murray said. He then spent about $4,000 more toconvert the gas-guzzler to run on electricity alone, doing all thework himself in his garage at home."I bought the electric motorand I was like well, I gotta figure out a way to couple it togetherwith the original transmission,” he said. The car can hit 55 mph, driving right past the high prices at gas stations.
Thisisn't a solution for most of us - he's limited to 20miles on a charge- but it is remarkable to see someone do this at home.

That is a far better idea than bitching at OPEC like a spoiled kid (like the congress did by passing NOPEC)

I understand the need to bitch, but if you have to make a choice don't make it then bitch that you had no choice. Either man up and pay your $4.099 (the current price accross the street from me), or don't or buy a friggin' bike even! But don't whine about it!
