I shot this photo in Kathmandu, Nepal. The banner is in Nepali and it says, "There is no kerosene fuel, no cooking gas, no drinking water, no diesel, no petrol (gasoline), no electricity. Is there a government in this country? Is this democracy or chaos?"
Note: A day after I shot this picture, a similar picture appeared on the cover of a Nepali magazine.
During the two weeks I was in Kathmandu, I witnessed 8 hours of blackout (load shedding) every day in every house six days a week. I witnessed very long lines of cars, trucks and motorcycles at gas stations. I heard many areas of Kathmandu has limited supply of drinking water.
