One of Scotland's most breathtaking and dangerous mountains have took the life of three climbers after they were caught in an avalanche at Buachaille Eite Mòr, above Glencoe.

This sparked a three hour rescue attempt, one of the biggest in the area involving Two helicopters, sniffers dogs and the Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team.

Even though officials in charge of the safety of visitors for the mountain told the parties attempting to tackle Buachaille Eite Mòr there could be a risk of avalanche they went ahead.

There were nine climbers from two separate parties who were involved in the incident.
