Three earthquakes shake Indonesia on early Thursday

Bandarlampung (ANTARA News) - The National Meteorological and Geophysics office (BMG) reported that three earthquakes shook Indonesia early Thursday, respectively in Timika (Papua Province), Tolitoli (Central Sulawesi), and Blitar (East Java).

At 3.02 am Western Indonesian Time (WIB), an earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted 65 km northeast of Timika, Mimika District, Papua Province, at a depth of 30 km.

Later, at around 4.06 am WIB, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake shook 65 km southwest of Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi, also at a depth of 30 km.

The third earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale happened at 5.54 am WIB, around 120 km southwest of Blitar, East Java, at a depth of 30 km, according to information from BMG. (*) END
