Battery guilt. I can't bear to throw batteries out, but there's no current recycling program for them in Kingston. So I put them in a box and avoid the issue. Soon I will have to do something with them!
(In Australia you can 'recycle' them, but an internet search seems t oimply they just stick em in concrete and bury them anyway!!)
